About us
Drenched is a New Zealand organisation that works with children and siblings of those with high support needs. Here at Drenched, "support needs" can be defined as anything from physical and intellectual disabilities, to terminal illness and mental health conditions. We believe that the siblings and children of those with support needs are a demographic that is often overlooked, however they are at high risk of mental health issues due to parentification, isolation and neglect. Through education, our aim is to bring awareness while also providing support for this group without adding to the stigma that surrounds the support needs community. We believe that everyone deserves support and that recognising and supporting the needs or others doesn't diminish anybody else's.

What we do
Scholarships

These scholarships are designed for those who are wanting to persue higher education but come from families that may be experiencing financial hardship

Support Groups
We currently run online support groups for parents, children and siblings of those with high support needs. These groups offer a safe place for people to find community, seek advice and share their experiences in an undertsnading environment.
We also offer an 18+ coffee group for siblings of those with support needs.
We are in the process of developing groups for children 8-18yrs.
